Sala Damnak Loug is a very small school, and it is not working well. There are officially 64 pupils enrolled in the school, but our surprise visits have shown us that there are in reality only about 30 pupils attending class, the rest of the children probably spending more time in the rice fields that on the school bench. Hence, this school looks like it has been waiting for us.We will try to revitalise the school, but also to motivate the teachers, who seem to have accepted the worsening situation. First of all, we will probably need to build lavatories for the children and the teachers (the cost is approximately 1400$). The old ones are in an indescribable shape, and just not useable. We are also going to investigate whether there is a possibility of having the old ones repaired; you can see the pictures of them on the website. I am worried that this school is going to be a real mouth piece for us, because the situation seems to have been going on for a long time; we are going to have to work with whatever means we have available, which is, as you know, not a great deal.If it interests you, you can send us a small message while clicking message for AVEC
