They trust us, and it lasts
Twenty years of continuous action in Battambang do not rest on individual donations alone. Foundations, municipalities, businesses and institutions have supported AVEC for years. Here is who our partners are, and how to join them.
Why this page exists
Many NGOs do not show their partners. Sometimes out of discretion, sometimes to avoid committing to renewals, sometimes because these relationships have remained informal. AVEC does the opposite: we publicly name the organisations that support us. For three reasons.
First, it is a mark of respect towards these partners: their commitment deserves to be named, not filed away in a confidential folder. Second, it is a signal of credibility for new donors and new organisations considering joining us: seeing who already trusts us makes the decision easier. Finally, it is a matter of transparency: an individual donor has the right to know which other entities fund the organisation they choose, because the composition of an organisation’s funding says a great deal about its solidity.
Four kinds of partners
AVEC is supported by four types of institutional partner, each with its own logic of engagement and preferred programmes.
Private foundations
Swiss, French and international philanthropic foundations focused on child protection, education, or development in South-East Asia. They generally fund multi-year programmes, either through calls for projects or as general support.
Municipalities and cantons
Municipalities in the Lausanne region and German-speaking Switzerland, and cantonal authorities receptive to international cooperation. Recurring annual support, generally modest in amount but valuable for local visibility.
Corporate sponsors
Swiss and French companies engaged in humanitarian sponsorship or structured CSR. Financial sponsorship, product-sharing on their commercial ranges, skills-based sponsorship, and payroll round-up schemes for their staff.
Partner institutions
Schools, training institutes, parishes and community groups that mobilise their communities for AVEC. Student fundraising, educational partnerships, hosting of Sentinelles, and collective class sponsorships.
Our current partners
Here, with their agreement, we name the organisations that support us. The list grows as we obtain publication agreements.
Fondation Le Solstice · Pully
Swiss donor foundation. Through its RISE programme, it does more than simply fund: it builds demanding partnerships that combine financial support with a structured monitoring framework, reassessed every three years. Since 2002, it has supported more than 250 projects in around thirty countries. lesolstice.org
WeCare-Association · Erlenbach (ZH)
Swiss association founded in 2016, born from a charity bazaar that grew into an institution. It runs self-reliance projects in Kenya and Cambodia, following a rule we share: its administrative costs are covered privately, so every franc donated goes to the field. wecare-association.com
Aline Andrea Rutz-Stiftung · Zurich
Zurich-based foundation established in 1999, entirely dedicated to disadvantaged children and young people or those living with disability. Its contributions go primarily towards education and medical aid.
Importexa SA · La Conversion
Textile company from the canton of Vaud, founded in 1976, specialising in corporate workwear and bespoke professional clothing. Importexa hosts the headquarters of the AVEC Switzerland association in La Conversion: quiet, concrete support that endures. importexa.com
Rotary Stiftung Forch · Forch (ZH)
Foundation of the Rotary Club of Forch, in the canton of Zurich. True to the Rotary spirit of service, it supports help for people in difficulty, youth training and projects of general benefit, in Switzerland and internationally. rotary-forch.ch
Becoming a partner of AVEC
If you represent a foundation, a business, an institution or a municipality considering structural support for AVEC, here is how we proceed.
- Direct first contact with Patrik Roux or with the partnerships manager. No mass-market form, no sales follow-up. A human conversation that lets us understand your intent, your constraints and your framework.
- A detailed presentation of AVEC tailored to your profile: for a foundation, a full programme file with budgets and indicators; for a business, a structured CSR proposal with impact measurement; for a municipality, an international cooperation file meeting Swiss local authority standards; for an educational institution, a tailored educational programme.
- Choosing a specific programme or general support. You can earmark your support for a specific programme (shelter, training centre, scholarships, etc.) or contribute as general support to the association. Both options are possible and equally useful.
- A formal partnership agreement. Duration, amount, payment terms, deliverables on AVEC’s side (reports, indicators, communication), and conditions for using your name and logo in our materials. Everything is put in writing; nothing is left vague.
- Regular, ongoing follow-up. An annual report focused on your support, a possible field visit for your teams, welcome at AVEC events, and a mention in our communications as agreed.
What AVEC can do for your teams or your community
A partnership with AVEC is not just a donation. It is also a tool for internal mobilisation, external communication and human cohesion, which we make available to you within your own framework.
- A talk for your teams by Patrik Roux or by a Voix d’AVEC: a first-hand conference talk, round table, engagement lunch, or CSR day.
- A supervised field visit to Battambang for your executives or key staff. A five- to ten-day programme, immersion in our programmes, and meetings with the local team.
- Co-building a mobilisation initiative targeted at your staff, your customers, your community: a payroll round-up scheme, a charity sale of training centre products, a sporting challenge for charity, a solidarity run, etc.
- Ethical visibility in AVEC’s communications, calibrated to your strategy: a discreet mention, a detailed presentation, testimonials from executives, or a case study for sector peers.
- Quantified, auditable impact measurement, to include in your own CSR report or in your tax reporting. AVEC provides the traceable figures your auditors will ask for.
