20

Years on the ground

Public interest

A French non-profit association (Loi 1901), recognised as being of public interest. Full tax framework, official CERFA receipt.

Tax deduction in France

The AVEC France association is recognised as being of public interest within the meaning of Articles 200 and 238 bis of the French General Tax Code (Code général des impôts). Your donations therefore qualify for a significant tax reduction, calculated according to your tax profile.

  • Individuals: income tax reduction of 66 % of the amount donated, up to 20 % of taxable income. In practice, a donation of 100 € costs you only 34 € after the reduction.
  • Businesses: corporate tax reduction of 60 % of the amount donated, up to 0,5 % of turnover before tax, or 20 000 €, whichever is more favourable.
  • CERFA tax receipt sent in January or February of the following year, to be attached to your tax return or kept in case of an audit if filing online.

Giving regularly counts for even more

A monthly donation lets us plan our work on the ground. Sponsorship goes further still: you follow a specific project, and receive a quarterly newsletter and a welcome pack. At 30 € a month, around 10 € net after tax relief, you become the mainstay of a programme.

Frequently asked questions about donating from France

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer in EUR using the details above. Once the online payment solution is integrated (Stripe, HelloAsso or an alternative currently being assessed), you will also be able to pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), SEPA direct debit, PayPal, or cheque on request.

When will I receive my tax receipt?

In January or February of the following year. Official CERFA format, to be kept for your online income tax return, or attached to a paper return.

How do I calculate the real cost of my donation?

Multiply your donation by 0,34 to get the net cost after the 66 % tax reduction. For example: a donation of 100 € really costs you 34 €. A monthly donation of 30 €, or 360 € a year, costs you 122 € net after the reduction.

What if I don’t pay tax?

The tax reduction applies to the tax you owe. If you don’t pay tax, you won’t benefit from the reduction, but your donation remains just as useful to the programme. Many of our non-taxpaying donors choose to give a modest but regular donation, because loyalty matters more than the amount.

Can I direct my donation to a specific programme?

Yes. State your intention in the transfer reference or by email to our team. Programmes you can support directly: the refuge, schooling, the training centre, the children’s garden, and university scholarships. Without specific instructions, your donation is allocated according to priority needs.

Is my personal data protected?

Yes, in accordance with GDPR. We never share your data with third parties. You can request its deletion, modification, or export at any time simply by emailing us.
